Precious δὲ

I was just reading through Ephesians 2.1-7. and the passage clearly breaks into two sections. The first vividly describes our hopeless slavery to sin, and the second God's gracious salvation of us from that estate. This is one of the greatest contrasts in life. Yet, one tiny word, δὲ, strikes this magnificent contrast. Amidst the despair of verses 1-3, it is wonderfully precious to feel the hope hinted at by δὲ. ὁ δὲ θεὸς συνεζωοποίησεν τῷ Χριστῷ. Amen.
